Our History
The Ostos Law Firm was founded in 1912 by jurist Armando Zacarías Ostos, who held various public offices, including Congressman, President of the Superior Court of Justice of the Federal District, Minister of the Supreme Court of Justice of the Nation, and Professor at both the Faculty of Law of the National Autonomous University of Mexico and the Free School of Law.

The second generation of lawyers formed the foundation of a new structure of specialists in Constitutional, Civil, and Commercial Law. Víctor Manuel Ostos Luzuriaga, a jurist trained at the National Autonomous University of Mexico, worked in the energy sector during his early career, serving as Director of Labor-Management Relations for the public company Petróleos Mexicanos. In his second career, he specialized in civil and commercial litigation, drawing on scientific legal research to contribute to the diagnosis of major legal and social problems and provide rational, comprehensive, fair, and democratic solutions.
Mr. Víctor Manuel Ostos Luzuriaga was succeeded as head of the firm by his son, Mr. Víctor Manuel Ostos Mañón, who graduated from the Faculty of Law at the National Autonomous University of Mexico and taught at various universities, including the Autonomous Technological Institute of Mexico (ITAM), focusing on Constitutional Law, Commercial Law, Process Theory, and Civil Procedure.
